Costa Maya is part of the region known as the Mundo
Maya or Maya World that stretches from the Yucatan Peninsular into Belize and
Guatemala.
This sprawling region is paved with pre-Hispanic ancient Maya sites. Some of
them are only recently discovered. They can be visited by adventurous trips
with Maya Luna as a fine home base.
